Monday-write the words 2x’s each in their notebook and study.
Tuesday- write a sentence for each word numbered 1-6.
Wednesday- write a sentence for each word numbered 7-12.
Thursday-Pre-test-corrections must be written 5x’s each on the back of the test paper.
Friday -Final Test
Phonics
This week we will work the “k and c Spelling Rule” and the letters b and m. We will take Phonics Assessment #4 on Wednesday. We will also complete a Phonics Reader on Wednesday and Friday this week. Look for those in your child’s folder and have them read the story to you.
Reading
We will work on the story “Big Pig and Little Pig” on Monday and Tuesday. Please read the story and practice the key words with your child on those nights. We will take the Key Word Test on Wednesday. The new story will be “The Big, Big Wall.” Read that story and practice the new key words on Thursday night.
Math
We will continue with Subtraction this week. The Chapter 4 Test will be given on Friday.
Science
We will continue to work on Balance in the Foss series. We will make mobiles, tops, zoomers and swirlers this week.
NOTES
-There were papers in the Friday folder explaining Independent Reading and Book It. Any questions feel free to ask. If your child needs a book at his or her level let me know I have lots of leveled readers!
