Spelling
Please practice the Spelling list at home nightly. We will begin Spelling on Wednesday and there will be written homework on Thursday. The homework will be to complete pgs. 1 and 2 from the Spelling workbook. We will take the first Spelling test next Thursday (Sept. 10).
Phonics
This week we will work on the letters Pp, Ii, Ll and Aa.
Reading
We are working on a unit about animals. We will be reading and writing about animals in this unit!
There will be a decodable reader, “Tap! Tap! Tap!” sent home on Wednesday. “The Pack” will be sent home on Thursday. Please read those with your child and keep them at home.
Math
We will be working on Addition this week. Please review the addition facts at home. You can review orally or on paper, it is a lot easier for the students if they memorize the basic addition facts.
Science
We will be working on “Balance” in FOSS Science this week!
Notes
-We will have snack daily at 10:15. Please send a snack with your child, a drink can be sent as well. If you would like to send enough snacks for a week or longer please write your child’s name on the package and I will keep the snack and distribute it at snack time.
-Please complete all of the forms and return in the green folder as soon as possible.
-Please remember to send a note to school on the day your child returns after being absent. If a note isn’t returned in 3 days it will be considered an illegal absence.
-Lunch money must be sent in an envelope with your child’s name, ID number and homeroom 105 on the front.
