         -complete Reading Worksheet pg. 109

               -read “Life in the Forest” in the Reading textbook and discuss

Tuesday-Day 4 Gym (wear sneakers and gym clothes)

-write the Lesson 11 Spelling Words 2x’s each in the Spelling Notebook and study for Pre-test tomorrow

-complete the Math Practice 9-1

Wednesday-Day 5 Book Exchange (remember Library Books!)   

         -read “Duke the Mule” and discuss…keep at home for practice!

         -complete the Math Practice 9-2

               -We will take the Weekly Reading Test for “Life in the Forest” tomorrow!

               -write the Lesson 11 Spelling corrections 3x’s each and study for the Final Test

Thursday-Day 1 Music

         -No Homework! 

-We will have an Easter treat in the afternoon as our Good Behavior Reward for

March!

No school on Good Friday!

         -complete Math Practice 8-5

Tuesday-Day 4 Gym (wear sneakers and gym clothes)

         -review the new key words nightly until known…they are white with a star in the bottom right corner. 

               -write the Lesson 11 Spelling words 2x’s each on the worksheet provided

               -read “June and Pete” to someone at home…keep at home for practice!

Wednesday-Day 5 Book Exchange (remember Library Books!)    

         -complete the Math Practice 8-6

               -read “Luke Meets Pete” to someone at home…keep at home for practice!

Thursday-Day 1 Music

         -complete the Math Review Worksheet for the Unit 8 Math Test tomorrow

               -complete Spelling Workbook pg. 286

Friday- Day 2 Art

         -Spirit Day! Wear red and blue!!

**There is a Book Order in the folder today!  The order and payment are due by Monday, March 30.  There are some great books this month that your child can read for Accelerated Reader!!

**We have started doing leveled reading passages for fluency and comprehension.  You will find them in your child’s Friday folder.  By this time in 1st grade we would like the students to be reading 40 words correct per minute.  The more reading your child does, the better the fluency and comprehension will get!!

Wednesday-Day 1 Music

         -the new key word cards are in the envelopes today!  Please practice those nightly.

-read the Phonics Reader “A Note for Rose” to someone at home.  Keep at home for practice!

Thursday- Day 2 Art

-read the Phonics Reader “I’m Glad” to someone at home.  Keep at home for practice!        

Friday-Day 3 Computer Class -We will have Game Day in the afternoon for our February Behavior Reward!  Students can bring games from home to play with their friends!

Newspaper in Education Week is March 2-6!

Look for my ad in the Pottsville Republican Classified Ads for a special treat!!  Just cut it out and bring it to school in an envelope or plastic sandwich bag.

Also, there is a paper attached to this note to keep track of time spent reading this week.  I initialed Monday because we did the Weekly Reader.  Starting today if you read with your child, initial the line and send it back by Wednesday, March 11!
