Homework Note for Nov. 24-26-#7258

No Spelling this week!
We will have a Spelling Bee on Tuesday to review all of the words that we have had to this point.
Phonics
We will work on Final, Stable Syllables this week.
Reading
We will not start a new story this week. We will read some of the stories that go with our Reading series. We will also work on some Thanksgiving booklets.
Math
We will continue to work on charts and graphs.

Notes
-Wear pink on Wednesday to “Stand Up Against Bullies!”
-We will have a Thanksgiving Snack on Wed. afternoon!
-Independent Readers this week are;
Mon.-Alex and Alexa Tues.-Evan and Kyla Wed.-Elizabeth and Sydney

Spelling
Lesson 10

Monday-write the words 2x’s each in the notebook and study
Tuesday-write a sentence for each number 1-6 in the notebook
Wednesday- write a sentence for each number 7-12 in the notebook
Thursday-Pre-test-corrections must be written 5x’s each on the back of the test paper.
Friday-Final Test

Phonics
We will take Assessment # 10 on Thursday. This week we will work on The Final –c Rule, Final Stable Syllable –ble and consonant v. We will have a Phonics Reader on Monday and Thursday.

Reading
We will work on the story “Daniel’s Mystery Egg” this week. Please read the story and practice the key words nightly. We will take the Key Word Test on Friday.

Math
We will take the Chapter 8 Test on Tuesday and a Unit Test on Wednesday. We will begin Chapter 9 “Graphs and Tables” on Thursday.

We will discuss Native Americans, Pilgrims and the Thanksgiving Story this week!!


Notes
-We had a Guidance Class with Mrs. Hull today.
-We will have a Reading Assembly on Friday afternoon.

We will continue to work on “Subtraction Fact Practice.”

We will discuss Native Americans this week!

We will take Assessment # 8 on Wednesday. This week we will work on the “Sneaky e Rule,” contractions and consonants x and y. We will have a Phonics Reader on Wednesday.
*The “Sneaky e Rule” is when a vowel is followed by a consonant and silent e the vowel is long; code the vowel with a macron and cross out the silent e.*


Reading
We will work on the story “Kit and Kat” this week. Please read the story and practice the key words nightly. We will take the Key Word Test on Thursday.

Math
We will take the Chapter 7 Test on Thursday. We will begin Chapter 8 on Friday, “Subtraction Fact Practice.”

We will discuss the election process this week!

Notes
-Report cards will be sent home on Tuesday. Please sign and return the bottom!
-Parent Teacher conferences are on Tuesday and Thursday. If you have scheduled a conference, please come at your assigned time.
-October “Book It” book reports are due immediately! The November Book It papers are in folders today!
-The November Independent Reading schedule is in your child’s folder today!
