·         We took our first Unit 2 Spelling Test today!  Look for that in your child’s folder today.  It will be the same as Unit 1, if your child gets all of the phonetically spelled words correct, he or she is finished with Spelling for the story.  Please continue to review the High Frequency and Academic Vocabulary with your child until known!

·         Read “Big Fox, Little Fox” to someone at home.  Log it on the AR sheet and keep at home for practice.

·         Review Spelling words and High Frequency words until known.  The Spelling Pre-tests are in folders today.

 

Tuesday-Day 5 Computer Class Wear red today!

·         Complete the Double Facts to 10 Class Fact Practice.

Wednesday-Day 6 Music-Halloween-Fall Celebration!!

·         We will have our Halloween Parade and Party this afternoon.  The parade will be at the Spartan Stadium and will begin at 2:00.  The party will follow.  Please send all costumes to school in a bag with your child’s name written on it.  No one should come to school dressed up!  The following guidelines should be followed;

ü  No face painting.

ü  Costumes may not mock any other person.

ü  No accessories that are like weapons or are dangerous are allowed!

ü  No masks that impede vision or identity are allowed.

Thursday-Day 7 Keyboarding

·         Read the reader to someone at home, log it on the AR sheet and keep it at home for practice.

Friday-Day 8 Phys. Ed. (wear Gym clothes and sneakers)

Thursday (10/11)-Day 2 Library

·         Review the Spelling Pre-test in your child’s folder today.  If your child scored 10/10 on the Spelling Words, he/she is done with Spelling for this story.  If not, please review the Spelling Words nighty until known.  All students must review the High Frequency Words nightly until known.

Friday (10/12)-Day 3 Phys. Ed. (Free Spartan Dress Down day!)

·         Homecoming Pep Rally in our gym at 9:30 and the Homecoming Football game tonight!!

Monday (10/15)-Day 4 Art

·         Tonight is Parent Night at the Book Fair from 4-7 PM.

·         Read “The Box” to someone at home and write it on the AR Sheet.

Tuesday (10/16)-Day 5 Computer Class

·         Complete the High Frequency Word Worksheet and return tomorrow.  An adult should check and sign the worksheet.

Wednesday (10/17)-Day 6 Music

·         Read “Pigs, Wigs, Cats and Bats” to someone at home and write it on the AR Sheet.

Thursday (10/18)-Day 7 Book Fair Shopping for our class!!

Thursday-Day 6 Music “We will have an activity at the baseball field with the High School “Teens Against Tobacco Club.”  Students should wear sneakers and Gym clothes!!

·         Read “Ruby in Her Own Time” from the Reading Textbook to someone at home.  We will take the Weekly Reading Test tomorrow!

Friday-Day 7 Book Fair Shopping (Pay $1.00 for Dress Down Day and an extra $1.00 to wear your favorite hat during school.  This will go towards the PBIS Reward Days!!)
