Monday-write the words 2x’s each in their notebook and study.
Tuesday- write a sentence for each word numbered 1-6.
Wednesday- write a sentence for each word numbered 7-12.
Thursday-Pre-test-corrections must be written 5x’s each on the back of the test paper.
Friday -Final Test
Phonics
This week we will work the letter Ee, digraphs –ck and –th, and the spelling rule for the final /k/ sound. A digraph is two letters that come together to make one sound.
We will take Phonics Assessment #4 on Thursday. We will also complete a Phonics Reader on Thursday this week. Look for those in your child’s folder and have them read the story to you.
Reading
We will work on the story “The Big, Big Wall” on Monday and Tuesday. Please read the story and practice the key words with your child on those nights. We will take the Key Word Test on Wednesday. We will get a new Reading book on Thursday. The new story will be “What Day Is It?” Please read the story and practice the new key words on Thursday night.
Math
We took the Chapter 4 Test today. We will begin Chapter 5 on Subtraction to 10 on Tuesday.
Science
We will continue to work on Motion in the Foss series. We will make twirlers and rollers this week!
