Monday-write the words 2x’s each in the notebook and study
Tuesday-write a sentence for each number 1-5 in the notebook
Wednesday- write a sentence for each number 6-10 in the notebook
Thursday-Pre-test-corrections must be written 5x’s each on the back of the test paper.
Friday -Final Test
Phonics
We will take Assessment # 7 on Tuesday. This week we will work on the syllable division and the “Sneaky e Rule.” We will have a Phonics Reader on Tuesday.
*The “Sneaky e Rule” is when a vowel is followed by a consonant and silent e the vowel is long; code the vowel with a macron and cross out the silent e.*
Reading
We will work on the story “How Many Fish?” this week. Please read the story and practice the key words nightly. We will take the Key Word Test on Thursday.
Math
We will take the Chapter 6 Test on Wednesday. We will begin Chapter 7 on Thursday, “Subtraction Strategies.”
Science
We will continue to work on Motion in the Foss series.
Notes
-We will have the Halloween Parade and party on Friday afternoon beginning at 1:30. Please send your child’s costume in a bag with his or her name printed clearly on the bag. No costumes are to be worn to school! Also, no props, such as brooms, guns, swords, etc. are to be sent to school!
