Monday-trace, write and spell the words aloud
Tuesday- write a sentence for each word numbered 1-6
Wednesday- write a sentence for each word numbered 7-12
Thursday-Pre-test-corrections must be written 3x’s each on the back of the test paper.
Friday -Final Test
Phonics
We will work on digraph ee, syllable patterns and the letters Uu and Ww this week. There will be a phonics reader on Monday and Friday.
Reading
Our new story for this week is “The Farmer In the Hat.” Please read the story and practice the wordlist nightly. We will take the Oral Test on the Word List on Thursday. We will take the Vocabulary and Comprehension Test on Friday.
Math
We reviewed adding to 10 today. We will take the Chapter 5 Test on Tuesday. Please review adding to 10 at home! We will begin Chapter 6 on Wednesday. It will be more practice adding to 10.
Notes
-Parent teacher conferences have been scheduled and are in homework folders today. I haven’t heard from some of you as to whether or not you would like a conference. Please return the Conference Papers as soon as possible. They must be returned either way, whether you want a conference or not. At this point there are no appointments left for Tuesday, November 10.
-Please remember to clean out the homework folders nightly and check test folders on Friday. All tests should be signed and returned on Monday.
-You can review the homework for the week by calling Homework Helpline (462-3000) and using my code 7258. You can also access my blog by going on the NS Homepage, clicking on NSES Elementary, then Homework Helpline and finally by clicking on my name.
-There is a correction on the November lunch menu; there will be a wrap offered as the second choice on Friday, not a salad.
-The 2nd Marking Period begins on Wednesday. Report cards will be in the green folder on Friday!
