*Numbers 11 and 12 cannot be "sounded out." Those words must be studied!
Monday-trace, write and spell the words aloud
Tuesday- write a sentence for each word numbered 1-6
Wednesday- write a sentence for each word numbered 7-12
Thursday-Pre-test-corrections must be written 3x’s each on the back of the test paper.
Friday -Final Test
Phonics
We will work on suffixes –ed and –ing this week. There will be a phonics reader on Thursday.
Reading
Today we took the End of the Book test for Unit 1. We got a new book today and the first story is “A Big Fish for Max.” Please read that and practice the wordlist nightly. We will take the Oral Test on the Word List on Wednesday. We will take the Vocabulary and Comprehension Test on Friday.
Math
We are working on Addition to 10 this week. Keep practicing the facts at home!!
Science
We will continue to work on “Rolling” in the Foss series.
Notes
-Please return the Conference Papers as soon as possible. They must be returned either way, whether you want a conference or not.
-Please remember to clean out the homework folders nightly and check test folders on Friday. All tests should be signed and returned on Monday.

-We will have a anti-drug program on Wednesday-it is Red Ribbon Week!!
-Friday is the Halloween Parade and Party! The parade will start at 2:00 outside in the bus loop. Please make sure that your child brings his or her costume in a bag marked with their first and last name.
