Tuesday-Day 2 Library
·         Complete Math Reteach/Practice/Enrichment 6-3
·         Read “Kate Wins the Game” to someone at home.  Write it on your AR list and keep it at home for practice!
Wednesday-Day 3 Phys. Ed. (wear Gym clothes and sneakers)  
·         Complete Math Reteach/Practice/Enrichment 6-4
·         Review the Spelling Words and High Frequency Words nightly until known!
Thursday-Day 4 Art
·         Complete Math Reteach/Practice/Enrichment 6-5
·         Read “The Farmer in the Hat” in the Reading Textbook to someone at home.  Please make sure to return the textbook to school tomorrow!!
Friday-Day 5 Computer Class
·         Today will be a free dress down day for students who earned the first two stickers for January.  January is a get back into the swing of it month, so we are reviewing all of the rules!!  They can earn a second free dress down at the end of the month, if all four stickers are earned!!
·         We will have Brainshow Mania in school today at 9:20!!  Thanks to the PTO for this fun program!!!
Notes
·         The Data Delay for tomorrow (Jan. 10) and the In-service Day for January 15, have been cancelled, they will be regular school days!!
·         Please remember to send a snack daily for your child. You can send in a package with your child name on it and we will distribute them if you would like! 
·         Today we started long vowels in Reading! This is when things really start to get tricky!! Please practice Spelling and High Frequency words nightly until known!!  The following are some important rules also;
-Sneaky e Rule-when a vowel is followed by a consonant and an e, the vowel says its long sound and the e is silent.
-ke comes after a long vowel (make, take)
-ce sounds like /s/ after a long vowel (face, race)
-ge sounds like /j/ after a long vowel (age, cage)
