Reading
We got our new Reading books today for Unit 3! The first story is “An Egg is an Egg.” Please read the story and review the wordlist nightly. We will take the Oral Wordlist Test on Thursday and the Vocabulary and Comprehension Test on Friday. I will not read any of the Vocabulary Test the students from now on. I will, however, continue to read the Comprehension Test to the students through the 3rd Marking Period.
Notes
-There won’t be any Remedial Reading this week. The Reading teachers will be giving the DIBELS Test this week. We all will take the test sometime during this week!
-We will begin Independent Reading next Monday. There is a schedule in folders today. Please choose a short book at your child’s reading level and practice it at home. He or she will read the book to the class on the scheduled day. If you don’t have a book that your child can read, let me know and I will send a book home to practice.
