Reading
We got a new book today and the stories are getting harder. Please read the story with your child nightly and ask questions as you are reading.
The new story is “A Big Fish for Max.” Read the story and go over the wordlist for the story nightly. Starting this week we will be taking the oral test as a separate grade than the written test. The oral test will be given on Thursday and the written test on Friday.
** It is Red Ribbon Week! We will discuss the importance of staying drug free! ** Follow the schedule of Red Ribbon Week activities that was sent home last week!
Notes
-We will have our Halloween Parade and Party on Friday! The parade will begin at 2:00 with the party to follow. Please send your child’s costume to school in a bag with his or her name on it. Please do not send any props such as broom, knives, daggers, guns, etc. Everyone is welcome to come and see the parade, but only assigned homeroom helpers will be allowed inside the school and classrooms.
-We had Gym today and will have Gym again on Friday; remember to wear sneakers!
