We will do the “Field Trip” Spelling list this week and the beginning of next week! We won’t get a new list until May 4.
Monday-write the words 2x’s each and study
Tuesday-write the words in ABC order in your notebook
Wednesday-no homework
Thursday-write a sentence for words numbered 1-6 and study
Friday-no homework
Monday (4/27)-write a sentence for words numbered 7-12 and study
Tuesday (4/28)-“Pre-Test”-write corrections 5x’s each and study
Thursday (4/30)- “Final Test”
Phonics
We will work on digraph ie, combination wh and the /o/ sound of “a” this week. There will be a Phonics Reader on Tuesday.
Reading
The new story for this week is “Frog and Toad All Year.” The Key Word and Comprehension Tests will be given on Friday. Read the story and practice the Key Words nightly.
Math
We will continue to work on Time to the hour and half hour this week. Please practice at home! The test on “Time” will be given on Thursday. On Friday we will begin Chapter 25 “Time and Calendar.”
We will work on a unit about “Animals” to prepare for the Field Trip and we will also work on Earth Week activities!!
Notes
-Please return the Field Trip permission slip as soon as possible!-Send an empty 2-liter soda bottle to school by Wednesday, if possible
