·         Read Honey Bees in the Reading Textbook to someone at home.  Please make sure that the Reading book is returned tomorrow!

Wednesday-Day 3 Phys. Ed.
·         We will take the Weekly Reading Test for “Honey Bees” today!

Thursday-Day 4 Art
·         We will take the Unit 3 Week 1 Spelling Pre-test today.  Look for the new list in your child’s folder.


Friday-Day 5 Computer Class “$1.00 Dress Down Day”

Wednesday-Day 4 Art
·         We will take the Reading Test for “Life in the Forest” today!

Thursday-Day 5 Computer Class
·         We will take the Spelling Pre-test for the new story today!  Look for those in the homework folder and review them with your child.


Friday-Day 6 Music
·         We will celebrate Read Across America!!  Mr. Burns will bring us Green Eggs and Ham and we will do Dr. Seuss Activities with some Bloomsburg University students.  Students can bring their favorite Dr. Seuss book to read during silent reading today!
·         We will also have our PBIS reward in the afternoon.  Students can bring board games and/or electronic games to play!!

  • Suffix –ed Rule
Suffix –ed makes three different sounds /ed/ after a t or a d;
/t/ after an unvoiced sound; /d/ after a voiced sound.

·         “Boosterthon” started today!! Check your child’s folder for the Pledge Book and a note!!  Sign up and get pledges!! PTO uses the money raised to send us on field trips, bring in special things like Brain Show Mania and have a Carnival at the end of the year!!  The Fun Run will be on Thursday, January 23.

·         Review Spelling Words for the Final Test!! It will be given tomorrow!!

·         Read “Bigger Shoes for the Big Race” with your child and put in the AR Log.  Keep at home for practice!  We will take the Week 5 Unit Test tomorrow!

·         We took our first Unit 2 Spelling Test today!  Look for that in your child’s folder today.  It will be the same as Unit 1, if your child gets all of the phonetically spelled words correct, he or she is finished with Spelling for the story.  Please continue to review the High Frequency and Academic Vocabulary with your child until known!

Monday-Day 4 Art Crazy Hair Day!
·         Review Spelling words and High Frequency words until known.  The Spelling Pre-tests are in folders today.
 

Tuesday-Day 5 Computer Class Wear red today!
·         Complete the Double Facts to 10 Class Fact Practice.

Wednesday-Day 6 Music-Halloween-Fall Celebration!!
·         We will have our Halloween Parade and Party this afternoon.  The parade will be at the Spartan Stadium and will begin at 2:00.  The party will follow.  Please send all costumes to school in a bag with your child’s name written on it.  No one should come to school dressed up!  The following guidelines should be followed;
ü  No face painting.
ü  Costumes may not mock any other person.
ü  No accessories that are like weapons or are dangerous are allowed!
ü  No masks that impede vision or identity are allowed.
Thursday-Day 7 Keyboarding
·         Read the reader to someone at home, log it on the AR sheet and keep it at home for practice.

Friday-Day 8 Phys. Ed. (wear Gym clothes and sneakers)

·         Please send the $5.00 party money as soon as possible. 
·         No shorts or capris can be worn after this week, due to the time change.
