-We will have snack time every day after special!  Please send a snack with your child daily. 

-Please check your child’s homework folder nightly and clean it out.  Sign and return all important papers in the Friday Folder.

-There is a book order in the folder today!  If you would like to order please send the order form and payment by Friday, September 18.

May 18

We are going to continue on for the next two weeks with the Unit 3 Reading Book, so that we hit all of the Phonics skills and stories.  There won’t be any more Weekly Tests!  I gave the students all of the High Frequency Words for the rest of Unit 3, as well.  Please look over those nightly.  Also look for Phonics Readers in your child’s Homework Folder and read over those!  There will probably be one every second day.

Monday-Day 4 Gym  

-read the Phonics Reader “Six Wishes” to someone at home and keep at home for further practice.

-complete the Time Worksheet for review for the Unit 13 Test tomorrow!

Tuesday-Day 5 Book Exchange      

         -We will begin working on charts in Math after the Time Test.  Please look over your child’s Math papers that come home daily!

         -read “Ruby in Her Own Time” from the textbook to someone at home

-complete Math Practice 13-3.  We are working on time to the hour and half hour…please practice at home!!

            -write Spelling corrections 3x’s each and study for the Final Test

-practice the new white key word cards with hearts in the lower corner for the story “Ruby in Her Own Time”

Tuesday-Day 5 Shopping at the Book Fair!  Students will need to have money present in order to purchase!  There will be some other time throughout the week to shop if necessary, but it is preferred that we shop on our day!

-We will take the Unit 12 Math test on “Measurement" today!  We have done lots of practice in school!

         -read “Inside and Outside” to someone at home and keep at home for further practice.

Wednesday-Day 1 Music

-We will have our Good Behavior Reward for April at 2:00 today!  We will have an extra recess outside, weather permitting!!

            -If your child didn’t order a cafeteria lunch please send one in a disposable bag!

            -Your child should wear his/her PTO t-shirt for the trip.

            -Dress code appropriate bottoms must be worn and sneakers.

-Please do not send any money!            -If a camera is brought, your child will be responsible to hold it for the entire trip!
